We believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; in His only Son, Jesus Christ, who was born to be the perfect sacrifice for humanity and was raised from the dead and will return to judge between those who put their faith in Him and those who trust in other things; and in the Holy Spirit who brings us to faith in Jesus, keeps us in this one true faith, and grows us into the people He would have us be!
To work this faith in the lives of His creatures, God speaks through His word as proclaimed in Holy Scripture. He further gives us the good gifts of the forgiveness of sins through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism in which He washes us clean of our sins and adopts us as sons and daughters. As if that were not enough, the Lord bestows His gifts further by giving us the true body and true blood that Jesus gave and shed on the cross to us to eat and drink in the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
