David Appold graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in May of 2014. From the seminary he was called to St. Paul and was ordained and installed here on July 20, 2014. His undergraduate degree is in Mathematics from Concordia University - Ann Arbor. There he also met his wife, Elizabeth. They were joined in marriage in 2010 and have been blessed with two sons, a daughter and are expecting another child in March 2019.
Tonya has been employed at St. Paul Lutheran Church for 10 years. She began working part-time as the church Bookkeeper and now is both Church Secretary and Bookkeeper. She was born and raised in Paducah, but moved around a bit after marrying her husband, Chuck, 30 years ago when he was in college at MSU and Law School at SIU-C. They moved back to Paducah nearly 25 years ago, when their oldest daughter was born. Tonya has worked as a secretary for a real estate office, as a faculty secretary at Southern Illinois University, and at Rend Lake College. She worked as a teaching assistant for two years at a local elementary school before coming to work at St. Paul. She and her husband have three children.
Kent became an organist for St. Paul in 2007. He is a life-long resident of Brookport, IL. Kent graduated from Massac County High School and has received a BA in History from Murray State University. He started piano lessons at age six, and at 19 began studying organ. Kent also participates in the vocal and handbell choirs.
